Trip Report Halloween Party at Disney World

For the past two years Travelmista and I have gone to Disney World to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It is a Halloween themed event at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, FL.  Being that it is Halloween you are encouraged to dress-up even adults. We have dressed up as Cheerleaders for the past two years. Even though this is themed towards children we have had a great time as adults attending. There is an additional cost for attending and the event only happens on select dates through the months of Sept, Oct.and Nov. They party starts in the evening but we were able to get in to the event at 4pm and we partied with Mickey until Midnight.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) features the Boo to You Halloween Parade and begins with a ride by the Headless Horseman down Main Street at 8:15pm and 10:30pm. There is also the fabulous Happy HalloWishes fireworks show featuring the Disney Villains at 9:30pm. The Haunted Mansion has Haunted actors dressed up on the lawn talking with guests. Other entertainment is Character Dance parties were you can dance with some of your favorite characters at Stitch Club 626 in Tomorrowland and Woody's Happy Harvest Roundup in Liberty Square. There is also o the Villains' Dance Mix & Mingle show and special Disney Character Appearances (last year it include all seven dwarfs near splash mountain) Plus the Magic Kingdom is decked out in Halloween decorations. But our favorite has to be that you can trick-or-treat around the Magic Kingdom. We always come home with tons of candy.  There are eleven different locations to trick-or-treat but you can always go through the line again and again…. Disney also gives out healthy raisins if you don't want your children to have tons of candy.

We went to the later parade because most of the children are gone by this time and it is easier to get better seats. Same goes for all the rides the later you stay the less lines at the rides.

This event is totally appropriate for children of all ages. This event can sell out during popular evenings around Halloween.  Click here to view the event guide for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
